Hi everyone! How's your day? I hope it's fine :) i've been wanting to eat noodle lately, but everywhere i seek, the noodle is all so boring for me. So, i searched online and found some Korean noodle, which by the way i like very much. I ate this once when me and my family was eating in a Korean restaurant, and the taste is amazing! and since i found it amazing, i wanted to share this recipe with you guys, so you can also make it at home!

Japchae is not only delicious, it's also nutritious. It can also be a good meal for you who are in a diet program or those who are vegetarian, because you don't have to include the meat in the dish and it gives you a full stomach longer ^^

Methods:
  1. Firstly, make the seasoning by mixing all the seasoning ingredients into one bowl
  2. Cut the beef and mushrooms as you like, put it in a bowl and mix it with 1 1/2 tbs of the seasoning
  3. Remove the root of the spinach, wash them, then cook them in boiling water for 1 minute. After 1 minute, rinse them. Make sure to squeeze all the water out of the spinach. After that Seasoned the spinach using 1/4 tsp of minced garlic and a pinch of salt. Mix it evenly by hand (or not up to you)
  4. Cut the carrot and onion.
  5. Boil 5 cups of water in high heat. When it starts to boil, insert the Glass Noodle and decrease the heat into medium heat, then boil the Glass noodle for 6 minute. After the noodle becomes soft, rinse it.
  6. Coat the frying pan with 1 tbs of vegetable oil. Sautee the Onion and Carrot with a pinch of salt and black pepper for 3 minutes. After the Carrot is cooked, add more oil if they start sticking to the pan, then add the Mushrooms and Beef. after the beef is cooked, add more oil, so the beef or mushrooms wont stick to the pan.
  7. Put the rinsed Glass Noodle in a big bowl, cut them with scissors if you want. Pour the sauce and the rest of the ingredients into the bowl, mix them thoroughly. For finishing touch, Sautee the mix Ingredients in medium heat until the noodle is warm.
  8. Garnish it with a little bit more sesame seeds at the top. And your Japchae is ready to serve!!

Mixing Bibimbap

Friday, 1 May 2015 / No Comments
Hi There! How's life? Recently, in my neighbor hood and around campus, healthy living and dieting have been a really popular topic. My friends also have started those 'eat less' and 'exercise more' routines. And i understand that exercise is good and necessary for your body, but eat less? If your one of those people, stop doing what you're doing. Eat regularly, just watch what you're eating. many people think that meat is the source of fat. Well, nevertheless you still need them. So here is my solution of staying healthy without cutting your everyday meal.

Mixing Bibimbap

One of my favorite dish is from South Korea. It has it all, this dish have the egg, the rice, the meat, and more importantly, this dish have more vegetable! It's the perfect dish to eat for lunch or before/after your exercise. This Dish is called BiBimBap or Mixed Rice.True to the name of the dish, Mixed Rice, this dish literally gave you the freedom of mixing anything you want in to the dish.

There are three types of bibimbap. Dolsot bibimbap which is the vegetable bibimbap, Hweodeopbap which uses fish instead of meat in the bibimbap, and the regular bibimbap that contains of vegetable and lean meat.  bibimbap was traditionally eaten to get rid of the left over side dishes on the lunar year eve. It was also eaten by farmers during farming season, because on that season food are usually rare, as it was the easiest way to make large amount of food for a large amount of people.

Bibimbap usually contains rice, sesame oil, Gochujang (korean pepper paste), vegetables, Meat and egg. but since we're talking about healthy eating, you can only mix the rice with vegetables and eggs, and the dish would be healthy, yummy, and satisfying all the same.

Some tips for your bibimbap: try to cut the vegetables thin and matchsticks like, if you're tongue don't tolerate spicy food so much try to lessen the Gochujang or you can simply go with your homemade chilly paste, cook the egg half-cooked or just crack it while the rice and vegetables are still hot and steamy, it will taste better. and don't forget to measure before you cook, it get way too much after you mixed everything together.

So, that's all from me folks! hope you enjoy the article i wrote this time. Tell us what food should we talk about next time in the comment section, and remember: Don't Starve! See you next time! Bye!
