Maybe most
of muslim in Indonesia very familiar
about this food. Foods cooked rice wrapped in young coconut leaves, identical
with the Eid. In history , Sunan Kalijaga is the first person who introduced
Ketupat to the Java community. Once finished cooking, Ketupat is delivered to
older relatives.
Ketupat has
several meanings. First Katupat is the symbol of togetherness because the
Ketupat wrap is made from young coconut leaves that wattled each other become
one Ketupat wrap. Ketupat also reflects the variety of human error, judging from the
complexity woven ketupat wrap. Second, Ketupat is reflecting the cleanliness
and purity of heart after beg forgiveness from all the mistakes, seen from a
white ketupat if halved. The third reflects the perfection, if viewed from the
ketupat diamond shape. All that is connected with the victory of Muslims after
a month of fasting and finally stepped on a pure feast day.
Before, maybe we often eat ketupat but never know
about this gorgeous philosphy behind that diamond food. But after know that
Ketupat has a lot of beautiful meaning, we can eat this food later with more
blessed feeling. Because the food is made for our victory, and become our
diamond in Happy Eid day.
That’s all
from me today, see you next time.
