In Chinese languages and the languages of neighboring countries black tea is called as “red tea”, a description of the color of the liquid; the Western term "black tea" refers to the color of the oxidized leaves. In Chinese, "black tea" is a commonly used classification for post-fermented teas, such as Pu-erh tea; outside of China and its neighboring countries, "red tea" more commonly refers to rooibos, a South African herbal tea. One of the most famous tea in China is Qimen Hongcha from Anhui Province.

Black tea is the more oxidized than oolong, green, and white teas. Black tea is oxidized for 100%. All four types are made from leaves of the shrub (or small tree) Camellia sinensis. Black tea is generally stronger in flavor than the less oxidized teas. Two principal varieties of the species are used – the small-leaved Chinese variety plant (C. sinensis subsp. sinensis), used for most other types of teas, and the large-leaved Assamese plant (C. sinensis subsp. assamica), which was traditionally mainly used for black tea, although in recent years some green and white have been produced.

Like the other tea, black tea also gives us many health benefits for us. Black tea can help manage or even prevent diabetes, black tea protects your heart health, black tea is a tremendous source of potent antioxidants, black tea may help with weight loss, and the antioxidants in black tea can also help reverse the visible effects of aging.

White tea is a lightly oxidized tea grown and harvested primarily in China, mostly in the Fujian province. More recently it is grown in Eastern Nepal, Taiwan, Northern Thailand, Galle (Southern Sri Lanka) and India. White tea comes from the buds and leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant. The leaves and buds are allowed to wither and dry in natural sun.
The name "white tea" derives from the fine silvery-white hairs on the unopened buds of the tea plant, which gives the plant a whitish appearance. The beverage itself is not white or colorless but pale yellow, light to the taste, and is free shaped.
Like black and green tea, white tea is also derived from Camellia sinensis. Thus, white tea shares many of the same chemical properties and health effects of tea. However, white tea contains the most antioxidants. The particular amount and ratio of the polyphenol compounds found in tea varies widely from one type of white tea to another, frequently overlapping with chemical compositions found in green tea.
Don't underestimate the subtle taste of white tea behind its delicate flavor and aroma lie many healing properties, potent antioxidants, protection against disease, support for a healthy immune system, a radiant complexion, and a host of other white tea benefits.
