Dessert Around The World: America
Hi there everyone! Today's destination on our dessert around the world series is America! Enjoy!
An Apple Pie is a double crust tart filled with apple served with whipped cream or ice cream and cheddar cheese. Apple Pie was brought to English colonies by the British, Dutch, and Swedes during the 17th and 18th centuries. And was popular by the 18th century in Delaware. The ingredients used in apple pie are ordinary pie crust and cooked apple (the apples can be Bramley, Empire, Northern Spy, or Granny Smith which have a crispy texture and sour taste).

Well, you've got the image from the title right? It's a coca-cola flavored deep fried dough! Basically you make a dough batter with coca-cola poured in the batter, deep fried it, and then top it off with coca-cola syrup, whipped cream, and cherry. This food was invented by Abel Gonzales on 2006 Texas Fair.
