How to Make Lo Mien

Well, like I said before today we will talk about the Chinese noodle. Chinese noodle are so much famous in some place around the world. For example in my country, we often eat Chinese noodle, because the tasty taste and also comfortable in out tongue. Our first Chinese noodle is Lo Mien. Did you try it before? Now you can try this one at home.
INGREDIENTS
1/2 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast
Marinade:
2 teaspoons light soy sauce
1 teaspoon Chinese rice wine or dry sherry
1/4 teaspoon sesame seed oil
1 teaspoon cornstarchmarinade
Sauce:
3/4 cup chicken broth
2 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon oyster sauce
3/4 teaspoon sugar
Other:
1/2 pound Chinese noodles (thin or thick noodles are fine)
1 cup shredded carrots (about 1 carrot)
1 8-ounce can straw mushrooms
3 tablespoons vegetable or peanut oil for stir-frying, or as needed
1 teaspoon chopped garlic
1/4 teaspoon salt
Salt and pepper to taste, if desired

STEPS:

1. Firstly you can prepare to marinate the chicken. Cut the chicken when its slightly frozen into thin strips about 2 inches long. Add the light soy sauce, rice wine or sherry, sesame oil and the cornstarch. Wait for 20 minutes.
2. While you waiting for the chicken, you can make the sauce. Mix all the sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
3. Boil the noodle until they are al dente. Drain, rinse with cold water, and drain again.
4. Rinse the straw mushroom to remove any “tinny” taste, then drain it.Cut the carrot into the strips.
5. Heat 1 tablespoon oil over medium high to high heat. Stir-fry the garlic until aromatic and add the chicken. Stir-fry the chicken until 4/5 cooked. When the chicken was 4/5 cooked remove the chicken.
6. Heat 2 tablespoon oil and salt. Ass carrots and mushrooms. Stir-fry the carrots and mushroom for 1 minute, add the chicken. Add the noodles, mix it with all the ingredients. Add the sauce. Mix it with the other ingredient.
7. Cook for more 2 minutes. You can add the pepper and salt if you want.
