Recipe Mapo Tofu

By the way, yesterday I promised that I will posted about the recipes of the food that made from Tofu, our healthy food. And in this post we will talk about Chinese food that’s Mapo Doufu, in Chinese tofu is called as Doufu. Are you a fan of Chinese food? Are you a fan of spicy food? If yes I think you should try to make this own at your home.
Ingredients:
1 pound regular tofu (tender ones)
1/2 cup minced meat-beef or pork
1 and 1/2 tablespoons Doubanjiang
1 teaspoon fermented black beans(also known as dou-chi and fermented soya beans)
1/2 teaspoon salt for soaking the tofu cubes
1 teaspoon Sichuan peppercorn or peppercorn powder
1/2 tablespoon light soy sauce
1/2 cup of water or broth
2 tablespoons cooking oil
1 tablespoon rice wine
3 spring onions, finely chopped
1/2 cup of ground beef or pork
2 garlic cloves,finely chopped

Instructions:
1. Firstly you need to cut tofu into the square cubes. In the other place, prepare a bowl and pour some water and little amount of salt. Put the tofu cubes into the bowl for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes moved the tofu to the other container and drain.
2. Fry the minced meat with 1 tbsp. of oil, when the meat almost cooked. Transfer out.
3. In the other place, fry doubanjiang, garlic and fermented black beans until the aroma is appear.
4. Add tofu cubes in and turn up the fire. Add around 1/2 cup of water or broth, rice wine and soy sauce. Taste the dish and if you think you need more salt just put it in. wait until boiling.
5. Add the water starch in. stir it. Simmer for around 2 minutes with high fire until become thickened. Put the fried minced meat and some of green onions.
6. Transfer the dish to the serving plate. If you want you can garnish the rest of chopped spring onions on top and Sichuan peppercorn powder.
You can serve with rice, steamed buns, or breads. I hope you can enjoy this spicy food at home to enjoy the weekend. Have a nice weekend guys…
